QPT
Robotics and automation

Precise robots and machine tools need an expensive motor and a sensor on every joint. QPT's drive delivers that precision from a low-cost motor and senses everything in the system from within the drive itself. Cost comes out of every joint.

$12Bn in robotics and automation by 2030.

What changes

Cheaper joints. Smarter robots.

System cost
Up to £10,000
less per six-axis cobot

Low-cost motors, and no encoder or external sensor on each joint.

System performance
Premium
precision from a standard motor

The precision you'd normally pay ten times more for.

System performance
No sensors
on the joint

The drive reads the motor itself: real-time correction, diagnostics and data ready for AI.

Conventional drive vs QPT

Same motor. Two ways to drive it.

A conventional drive switches a few thousand times a second. QPT's switches a million. This allows us to integrate a tiny, cheap filter that delivers a pure sine wave to the motor.

What the motor gets
System performance
Conventional drive:A rough, chopped waveform
QPT:A pure sine wave
The motor
System cost
Conventional drive:Built to survive the waveform
QPT:A standard motor, under less stress

Sensing
System performance
